General Information

Admission to the course will be on the merit according to the marks obtained in class Xth or 10+2 pattern or equivalent examination. If no eligible candidates are available for the reserved seats, these seats will be treated as unreserved.

Candidates selected for admission shall have to produce following testimonials in original at the time of admission otherwise their seat will be filled up in next in the merit:-

  • Mark sheets of class X or XII as the case may be, along with certificate, provisional certificates of having passed the class issued by the concerned school.
  • They should bring their transfer certificates from their respective school/college last studied. (No provisional certificates, Migration certificate is accepted by DTE. Karnataka). Transfer Certificate (TC) is must without which the admission will be cancelled. The candidate who has completed 10+2 pattern has to produce 10th and 12th mark sheets.
  • Certificates of health issued by Medical Officer or registered Medical Practitioner. Candidates should not suffer from any chronic disease. Character and Antecedent certificate issued by the school/college last attended. SC/ST certificate issued by the Appropriate Authorities in the case SC/ST candidates.

Hostel facility is available for students as per availability. 2nd year and 3rd year students will be provided hostel facility only if their discipline state conforms to the standard prescribed by the Institute. They will not get hostel accommodation automatically in the II nd and III rd year due to shortage of accommodation. PT and evening sports is compulsory for all hostel students including II and III year students. They have to give an undertaking in this regard.

Messing / hostel charges of the students of diploma courses will be borne by the parents, irrespective of their rank except for the wards of widows which will be met out of Central Education Fund. The hostel facility will be withdrawn if the ward commits any serious indiscipline act or fails in more than two subjects. Final discretion in this regard lies with Principal BSF IT.
